Mount Tabor & The Hill of Moreh

Looking to the south from Nazareth lends itself to a perfect view of Mount Tabor (left) and the region of the Jezreel Valley where Deborah and Barak routed the army of the famous Canaanite General, Sisera [Judges 4].

The large hill on the right is the hill of Moreh. On the lower left side of the hill is the location of the small town of En-Dor. It is the location where Saul visited a witch to be able to consult the prophet Samuel [1 Samuel 28].

This area is the tribal regions of Zebulun to the North and Issachar to the South. Dozens of Biblical characters (including Jesus himself) would have spent time in this region and seen this view.
