The Spring of Harod is located at the base of the northern-most mountains of Samaria where they terminate at the Valley of Jezreel – just opposite the hill of Moreh on the north side of the valley, not far from Mount Gilboa.

It was at this spring that the Lord winnowed Gideon’s army from 32,000 all the way down to 300 – leaving Israel outnumbered 450:1 against the massive Midianite army. Despite the impossible odds, God glorified himself by granting victory to Gideon and his men when they raided the enemy camp. [Judges 7:1-25]
